Javascript Games

After taking a class in javascript I thought it would be cool to practice making some games in javascript. Overall they are fairly simple, the thing that I tried to challenge myself with is how small I could get the source code for each one of them. Feel free to take a peek and see how I did.

  • Shameless Tetris Clone
  • My shameless tetris clone was made after I finished the javascript class and was just to see if I could actually do it. It turns out I could and it really wasn't that hard. I also tried to minimize the size of the source code for this program.

  • Tic Tac Toe
  • Tic-tac-toe was originally made as a assignment for the javascript class I took. After I finished it I overheard someone talking about how long it took them to write it and that it was a few hundred lines. I thought this was ridiculous since I wrote mine in like 100 lines and I was even trying to be compact. So that gave me the idea to see how small I could make mine. I halved the lines of code easily and then I worked on minimizing the total bytes. What I have now is after several iterations and probably still has room for improvement.

In addition I made a version of Tic Tac Toe for Mac OS X that you can download. Download Tic Tac Toe for Mac OS X. I know it works on Leopard on my machine, but I can't guarantee it working anywhere else.
